Want to get involved with Annerley Junction Fest? We are always looking for fun and creative, community minded people to join our Festival Volunteers – known to us as “The Vollies”!
You can sign up for a range of different tasks – there is something for everyone. From assisting behind the scenes prior to the event, through to a couple of hours of hands on tasks across the festival precinct on the day. We would love to have you on the team!

Frequently Asked Questions
Junction Fest offers loads of ways to get involved! Whether you’re creative, organised, or just keen to help out, there’s a role for you. Volunteers help with things like:
– Stage and event management
– Children’s activities
– Art exhibitions and fashion parades
– Entertainment and music stage support
– Decorations and setup
– Stalls and logistics
– Information assistance for festival-goers
Some roles are behind-the-scenes, while others are front-and-centre helping our community connect and have fun. Let us know your interests, and we’ll try to match you to a spot that suits you best.
We’re grateful for any time you can give! Many volunteer shifts run for a few hours, while some roles may need you for longer. You don’t have to commit to the whole day unless you’d like to. When you sign up, you’ll be able to let us know your availability, and we’ll work with you to create a roster that fits your schedule.
No special skills are required for most roles—just a friendly attitude and a willingness to help. We’ll give you all the guidance and training you need before or on the day. If you do have particular skills (like experience with sound equipment, stage management, or working with kids), be sure to mention them when you sign up. It might help us place you in a role where you’ll really shine!
Absolutely! As a volunteer-run, not-for-profit event, Junction Fest deeply values every person who helps make it happen. volunteers will all recieve a limited edition junctionFest T-Shirt which they can wear on the day and keep forever!
Volunteers are invited to a special thank-you event after the festival to celebrate everyone’s hard work. Plus, you’ll get to be part of an amazing community, make new friends, and help create a festival that brings joy to thousands of locals.
