Annerley Junction Fest is back for 2025, and we’re absolutely thrilled to share this year’s theme: Connecting Annerley! This theme embodies everything that makes our beloved suburb special—its diversity, its community spirit, and its creative energy. We want to celebrate the stories, faces, and neighbourhoods that together weave the colourful tapestry of Annerley.
The Heart of Junction Fest
At its heart, Annerley Junction Fest is about bringing people together. As a volunteer-run, not-for-profit festival, our mission has always been to highlight the creativity of local residents, foster an inclusive, welcoming neighbourhood, and promote community resilience through shared experiences.
“Connecting Annerley” builds on that legacy. It invites us to make new connections—with friends, neighbours, artists, and newcomers alike. It’s about being present, intentionally reaching out, starting conversations, and enjoying what makes Annerley unique.
Partnering with Carolyn Vincent’s Ubuntu Foundation
We’re proud to partner with the Ubuntu Foundation, led by local champion Carolyn Vincent. Ubuntu’s values—community, belonging, and creative connection—are a natural fit with our festival’s goals. Their generous sponsorship supports everything from our programming to volunteer engagement—and this year, it brings something truly special: the Ubuntu Connection Space.
Introducing the Ubuntu Connection Space
Picture this: a shaded, welcoming tent tucked a little away from the bustle of the main stage, but still close enough to feel the pulse of the music. That’s the Ubuntu Connection Space—a calm, inclusive area designed for connection, nourishment, and comfortable socialising.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
• Meet, Greet & Eat — Enjoy delicious bites form nearby food trucks while getting to know other locals.
• Relax & Recharge — A quieter zone with seating and shade, perfect for catching your breath between performances.
• Stay Connected — Be within earshot of the live music, so you can relax and chat without missing a beat.
• Engage Locally — Share stories, laugh together, and maybe even strike up new friendships in a cosy and inviting atmosphere.
This space isn’t just a convenience—it’s the embodiment of this year’s theme. It’s about creating moments of meaningful connection, built in the fabric of our vibrant, shared day.
What to Expect at this year’s Annerley Junction Fest
• Live Music & Local Performance — Listen to fantastic local musicians on our main stage and the Off the Beaten Track stage. Take in the choir at the Woolworths foyer.
• Arts & Creativity — Wander through our annual art show featuring work from Annerley artists—part of our on-the-street art trail that brings art right into our neighbourhood.
• Kids’ Activities & Family Fun — From games and craft to bubbles and colouring, the festival is built for all ages.
• Market Stalls & Local Flavours — Enjoy food, local goods, and face-to-face chats with the people who make our neighbourhood thrive.
• Ubuntu Connection Space — Your sanctuary within the festival to meet, greet and eat. Embrace new friends and connect with other locals.
