Annual Annerley Junction Fest
Art Exhibition

The popular Annerley Junction Fest Art Exhibition showcases the talents of local artists of all ages, and we can’t wait to show you what we have on display at the 2025 festival.

We’re making some changes to this year’s Junction Fest Art Exhibition. The art exhibition will be an Art Trail rather than a pop up exhibition.

To activate and improve accessibility, we are embarking on an Art Trail: A Stroll Through Annerley, where local art will be displayed in Annerley businesses and shopfronts. The Trail will be open during the whole festival, just make your way to the shops on Ipswich Road to view the amazing works.

To enter your artwork, please contact Lara by sending us your details with ART SHOW in the subject line.

Art Trail: A Stroll Through Annerley

This year marks a fresh chapter for art at Junction Fest. After four years of transforming empty shopfronts into pop-up galleries, our much-loved art exhibition is evolving into something bigger, brighter, and more connected to the heart of Annerley.

Introducing the Annerley Junction Fest Art Trail.

From Waldheim Street to Dudley Street East, ashop windows become a canvas. Local businesses are opening their shopfronts to host artworks—with stops along Ipswich Road and through the Annerley Arcade, each with its own story, its own artist, its own perspective. From cafés with multiple frontages to the bold glass walls of large retailers, the trail turns our high street into an open-air gallery that everyone can enjoy.
Visitors can wander at their own pace with an Art Trail map, or join a guided walk on festival day. Each work will be marked with a panel carrying the artist’s details, the business hosting them, and a QR code linking to deeper stories—audio descriptions, insights, and behind-the-scenes reflections.
The trail isn’t just about art on display. It’s about connection: businesses and artists working together, neighbours discovering creativity on their doorstep, and the joy of seeing familiar streets through fresh eyes. Even the Annerley Library is joining in again, hosting sculptural works and short sustainability talks.
Five years on, the dream of activating vacant spaces has become reality—those empty shopfronts are now bustling businesses. The new Art Trail celebrates that transformation while keeping art at the heart of the festival. It’s a reminder that creativity doesn’t just live inside galleries; it can be part of everyday life, right here in Annerley.

The Annerley Junction Fest Committee would like to thank Matthews Real Estate and the Annerley Arcade for their years or support for our pop-up Art Show that has activated empty spaces in Annerley Junction.
